morphobarber
A collaborative morphing? A rebirth? An impromptu haircut in the shower. A chair in a small bathroom, a mirror in the bathtub, mood lighting. A haircut is the easiest way to morph and adapt, in my experience, and to entrust that to another person is vulnerable and exciting. Small hairs work together to create a look on our heads, the hair of many are shed together to create our strange rug. Certainly, some sort of sound would be in order, probably something ethereal and pulsing.
An installation in Agape’s renowned Halloween party, MORPHOBARBER was be a guided and interactive experience. Guests were welcomed in one at a time by me, though the door could remain open to spectators. Each person was be given a calming and classic haircut experience from wetting the hair with a spray bottle to cutting, snipping, shaving. Hand drawn temporary tattoos were also offered.
